Bahrain FinTech Bay and Apexblock Edge Capital to Drive Strategic Fintech Investments Across the GCC
Manama, 18, November, 2024 – Bahrain FinTech Bay (BFB), the Kingdom of Bahrain’s fintech ecosystem builder, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during the Singapore Fintech Festival with Apexblock Edge Capital (AEC), a leading venture capital fund based in Singapore. This collaboration aims to accelerate the growth of fintech and emerging technology companies in the Kingdom of Bahrain; and unlock new business opportunities for these ventures across Bahrain and the GCC region, by leveraging the strengths and networks of both organizations.
Under the terms of this collaboration, BFB and AEC will work together to identify and explore strategic business opportunities that align with their respective expertise. With a primary focus on Bahrain and the GCC, the two organizations aim to drive innovation in financial, emerging technology and entrepreneurship. With AEC’s extensive network and investment experience, fintechs in particular will gain access to invaluable resources, mentorship, and international market opportunities, allowing them to scale and thrive in an increasingly competitive landscape, both within the GCC and across the globe.
Speaking on the partnership, Bader Sater, CEO of Bahrain FinTech Bay, said, “Our collaboration with AEC reinforces our mission to continue to elevate Bahrain as a prime destination for fintech innovation. By combining our resources and expertise, we’re able to provide fintechs with unmatched support and access to international markets.”
